Loukas was a male mouse and a member of the Guard. He came from Oakgrove.
During his early years as a Guardmouse, he was assigned to watch over the outpost of Frostic after his mentor, Celanawe, was sent away on a vital mission.[1] By Summer 1116, Celanawe considered his tenderpaw as a candidate as the wielder of the Black Axe, but with years of serving the Mouse Guard ahead of him, his mentor did not wish to deprive him of this position or let the years of training go to waste.[2]
At one point in his life, the mice of Willowroot presented Loukas with a magnificent sword as a reward for his bravery.[3] He also trained Saxon in how to use a sword effectively. During the Winter War of 1149 he fought the weasels in their own homeland in Darkheather, but then died in their dungeon.[4]
During the winter of 1152, Loukas' former pupil Saxon found his remains in the abandoned weasel dungeon tunnels of Darkheather. Saxon mourned for his former mentor and retrieved Loukas' sword and cloak-pin.
